So there's a new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine UK streeting today. This isn't the pile o' mags I receive to help me do my job (such as it is) around these parts, due to the obvious overlap with the (much cheaper) Nintendo Power. Oh, but how I wish I was an ONM subscriber today.
You see, there's an interview with No More Heroes creator Suda51 in the new issue. An interview where he drops this crazy bombshell:
When asked by ONM if he'd ever consider making a game suitable for a younger audience, he replied: "I want to make a Super Mario game for adults.
"Maybe Mario could wear an Italian suit and have a machine gun," he hypothesised, adding, "But Nintendo probably wouldn't like that idea."
No, Mr. Suda, they probably wouldn't. Yet, I am sure it would sell one billion copies.
