So I'm back from a long, strange trip working on PS2 strategy guide, thereby proving it is truly the Frankenstein system that will never die, instead shambling into a long and comfortable undeath. It was fun, but as usual there was not enough time and too much work, and I'm frankly exhausted.
Now I'm back in the more comfortable land of Mario and Zelda, and can return to my two new infatuations: Shiren the Wanderer DS and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Frankly, I'm horribly behind on news and you have no reason to expect news posts to pick up again for a week or so, until I'm caught up on my reading. In the meantime I'll be trying to get you lots of features and original things, because the day the internet fails to provide cheap entertainment is the day Western civilization is at an end.
For now, let's talk about Smash Bros. Brawl. Specifically, let's talk about the Subspace Emissary. Are you guys feeling the love? I have to say that I only feel it until the cutscenes stop. The boss fights are great, but the platforming? Eesh, not on this engine. It's like I'm playing a bad NES Mario knockoff, the ones where you guy always skidded around everywhere. Love the rest of the game, though.
