Now that Nintendo Power's coverage has had a little time to be exclusive, GamesRadar is making it slightly less exclusive by tossing up the first online preview coverage of Mega Man 9. This far less interesting than the fact that Games Radar has the first screens of Mega Man 9 up, too. I'm sure it's mere coincidence that both Nintendo Power and Games Radar are Future Publishing outlets.

Still, the article is a good read-- it's full of neat little info nuggets like Inafune himself being Splash Woman's designer and information about the item shop that you'll be able to use to make the game a little less crushingly hard. You get Rush from the start but it looks like sliding and the charge shot aren't available-- at least when you start the game. Hopefully they'll appear as some sort of acquirable power-up.

OMG! This is the first time I have seen MegaMan in his 8-bit format in a long time! I bet this game will be kick-ass!

Only Capcom could manage to excite an HD-obsessed world with an 8-bit game.

I wonder if this will use the password system of old as opposed to the now industry standard save option.
