The Lowdown: Has your Wii been lonely since you finished No More Heroes? Then Mad World is the game you've been waiting for. Platinum Games puts you in the role of Jack, a man trapped in the Death Watch game organized by terrorists called the Organizers. The game is designed to break down your humanity by forcing you to commit increasingly ridiculous acts of violence, and you will-- from tearing guys apart with a chainsaw to slamming signposts through their head before tossing them onto a spiked wall as colorful comic book sound effects pop into your black-and-white world.
The Hype: Platinum Games, formerly Clover, developed some of the most outstanding games of the last generation. Now with Sega giving them backing, we can see what they'll be able to pull off on a new generation of consoles. With Mad World, the goal seems to be "get more M-rated games out there."
The Snark: The black-and-white 3D graphics honestly take some getting used to... but they're really great once you've adjusted, so that's like one-quarter of a complaint at best.
Enjoy some black-and-white screens behind the cut.
