Destructoid finally got some hands-on time with the special Mii Freestyle mode that's shipping as part of the Wii SKU of Activision Blizzard's upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour. The first thing the article confirms is that, amazingly, World Tour Wii is actually going to ship with every single feature and mode supported by other versions. Then it goes into detail of what you can do in the exclusive Mii Freestyle mode, and it sounds to me a lot like a more intuitive Wii Music:
World Tours Wii-exclusive "Mii Freestyle" mode is, when you break it down, all about making noise. The kinds of noise youll make -- and how closely related to an actual musical composition it is -- will be entirely up to you. "Mii Freestyle" puts up to two players -- a drummer and a guitarist -- into a space, letting them jam with one another by using the Wii remote and nunchuck, Wii drum kit, or guitar peripheral to manipulate different sounds and loops. Oh yeah, and you get to use your Miis as avatars; very exciting stuff.
