Well, this pretty much sucks. You know how major online features touted for Super Smash Bros. Brawl included being able to upload user-designed stages, screenshots, and match replays? As of June 30th, Nintendo is shutting that service down. You will still download any data that was submitted before the cut-off date, but nobody will be able to upload anything new after June 30... even though Brawl is still selling briskly and will probably keep doing so well into 2010.
This is kind of the major pitfall of Nintendo's online service being free. They can take pretty much any part of it away at any time and there's not too much fans can do about it. Microsoft would never dream of shutting down a service like this on XBLA and probably would never be in a position where doing so seemed like a good idea. In Nintendo's case, I imagine they're tired of managing new data and want to send the servers holding levels and other goodies into archival mode. Which sucks.
