If your Wii is connected to the Internets (and it should be), you may have noticed your blue update lights firing off this morning. That's because Nintendo of America's gotten around to releasing Wii firmware update 4.1 over here. After the amazing upgrades offered by firmware update 4.0, what wonders lie in store for us with 4.1?
It fixes a bug in Wii Sports Resort!
On the bright side, at least Nintendo is releasing the patch over here before Wii Sports Resort is on store shelves. Wii fans in Japan weren't so lucky. On the grimdark cynical side, isn't releasing an entire firmware update just to patch one game a little excessive, Nintendo? Would a third-party developer who accidentally shipped a flawed product be able to get away with this? I seriously doubt it.
